Legal

Cookie Notice.

Cookies and similar browser storage let the CVES site and Workspace keep you signed in and remember your choices. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we only need your permission for cookies that are not strictly necessary — so those stay switched off until you allow them.

01

Your current choices

You can change what you allow at any time. Your choice is stored in your browser, so you will need to set it again on each device or after clearing site data.

Analytics and performance

Optional, and off unless you allow them. We use aggregate measurement to see which pages are used and where the site is slow or failing. We do not use cookies for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell any of this data.

Other browser storage

Some features use local storage rather than cookies. It behaves similarly and is covered by the same choices:

  • Your cookie preference itself, so the banner does not reappear.
  • Your signed-in session, held by the authentication library.
  • Progressive web app data that lets the Workspace load quickly and survive a flaky connection.

06

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in to the Workspace. Clearing site data also clears your CVES cookie choice, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.

More information

How we handle personal data more generally is set out in the Privacy Notice, and our position on clinical data is in the Registry Data Statement.
